"If you can see it, you can be it. When you believe it, you achieve it!"
We're Off to a Great Start!
Our Brookside Parents have been calling the school to ask about school supplies and donations. The PTA has put together a SUGGESTED school supply list of general school supplies used in classrooms for each grade. The lists are easy for parents to view and print. Students love to give gifts to their classrooms and the school appreciates your donations.
Keep these lists handy to make your back-to-school shopping as easy as A, B, C!

Allergy Free Zone
We have several students at Brookside Elementary School that have food allergies to peanut/nut products. For some students, any exposure to peanuts/nuts or peanut butter may cause a life-threatening allergic reaction that requires emergency medical treatment. As a school we have taken precautions to limit exposure to these allergens for the safety and well-being of our students.
A table in the eating area has been designated as an allergy free zone. Peanut /nut products will not be sold in the cafeteria. Some children bring their lunch to school. If peanut/nuts are brought to school your child will not be able to sit at the allergy free table. If your child has eaten peanuts/nuts before coming to school, we are requesting that your child’s hands and face be thoroughly washed before entering the school.
We appreciate your support.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
Student Safety Reminders!
Parents and Students:
We would like to remind everyone of some general safety tips as students are coming to and from school. We encourage students to call 911 immediately if they feel in danger as they are traveling to and from school.
Student safety is a top priority in Beaumont Unified School District and we appreciate your help in creating a safe learning environment and community.

What are Interim Assessments?
Interim assessments are given 3 times a year to measure student learning. The goal is to find out how well students have mastered the standards, and to give the instructor feedback so she/he can modify their teaching in accord with the needs of their students. Teachers use the results from the Interim Assessments to modify their instruction as needed and to prepare students for end-of-the-year standardized achievement tests.
